Because our site focuses on The Stormlight Archive series, Portalstones.com (the Wheel of Time site that has recorded JordanCon for the last 2 years) has allowed us to bring you video of Brandon Sanderson from JordanCon 2010 (Saturday, April 24).
Here, Mr. Sanderson reads part of Chapter 3 and Interlude 5 of The Way of Kings, and talks a little about literacy and gender roles, plus the “spren,” spirit-creatures that play an important part in the book. Portalstones will have more video from JordanCon in the next few weeks, but for now, enjoy some of The Way of Kings in the author’s own voice (hit “more” to see the video players):

Can’t wait for more videos and interviews. I haven’t read the book yet but I love hearing about his process. I have listen to Writing Excuses several times strait through.
Are you going to keep track of all the interviews he will be doing?
Whenever we hear about an interview posted online, we’ll add the link to our Links page (see “Stormlight Archive Links” at the top of the blog).
And thank you for being our first non-spam comment! =)
I’m surprised I was the first.
There is a new five part suvudu video on youtube that I didn’t see listed in the links section. It’s Brandon at the University Bookstore in Seattle, WA. He reads from WOK and talks about its origins. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHkWDoxLjkE&feature=related
I see you do have the WA vids linked in the Reviews section. I didn’t think to look there.
